A delicious and hearty chili recipe filled with ground beef, beans, and spices.

- 2 lbs ground beef
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 2 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 tbsp seasoning salt
- 2 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 2 tsp cumin
- 2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 2 cans (15 oz) dark red kidney beans, drained
- 2 cans (15 oz) chili beans, undrained
- 2 cans (10 oz) Rotel diced tomatoes with green chiles
- 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
Instructions
- In a large pot over medium heat, brown the ground beef until no longer pink. Drain excess grease.
- Add diced onions and green peppers. Sauté for 4–5 minutes until soft.
- Stir in minced garlic and cook for another minute.
- Add all seasonings: seasoning salt, chili powder, black pepper, cumin, smoked paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder. Mix well.
- Stir in the kidney beans, chili beans, Rotel tomatoes, and tomato sauce.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let simmer for 25–30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary before serving.
Notes
- This chili tastes even better the next day after the flavors have melded.
- Feel free to add more spices or toppings like cheese and sour cream.
