Description

A refreshing kale salad with ripe pears, toasted walnuts, and a balsamic vinaigrette.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups kale, chopped
  • 2 ripe pears, sliced
  • 1 cup walnuts, toasted
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry kale leaves thoroughly; chop into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Slice pears in half, remove the core, and thinly slice.
  3. Toast walnuts in a skillet over medium heat for about 5 minutes until golden brown.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together balsamic vinegar, olive oil, honey, salt, and pepper.
  5. In a large bowl, combine kale, sliced pears, and toasted walnuts. Drizzle with dressing and toss gently.
  6. Serve immediately for optimal freshness.
