Description

A simple homemade vanilla ice cream made with just three ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ounces heavy cream
  • 2 ounces sweetened condensed milk
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Whip the Cream: In a medium bowl, whip the cream with a hand whisk or electric mixer until stiff peaks form. The cream should hold its shape when you lift the beater.
  2. Fold in Sweetened Condensed Milk: Gently fold the sweetened condensed milk into the whipped cream until combined.
  3. Add Vanilla Extract: Fold in the vanilla extract. The mixture may look lumpy at first—keep folding until mostly smooth, but avoid over-mixing to maintain volume.
  4. Freeze: Transfer the mixture to a freezer-safe container with a tight-fitting lid for at least 2 hours for soft-serve texture or for 6 to 8 hours for firmer ice cream.

Notes

  • For a creamier texture, make sure to properly whip the cream until stiff peaks form.
