Description
A sweet and creamy side dish made with honey, butter, and corn.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 bag (16 ounces) frozen sweet corn
- 2 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Melt the butter and honey: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and honey together. Stir gently as the mixture melts and begins to bubble slightly. The smell is amazing—rich, golden, and sweet.
- Add the corn: Pour in the frozen sweet corn directly into the honey butter mixture. Stir to coat every kernel. Let the corn cook for about 6–8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it’s heated through and some of the edges start to turn golden.
- Stir in the cream cheese: Add the softened cream cheese to the skillet. It will slowly melt and blend into the corn, creating a creamy, luscious sauce. Keep stirring until the cream cheese is fully incorporated.
- Season and serve: Add salt and black pepper to taste. I like just a gentle sprinkle—it brings out the natural sweetness of the honey butter corn. Serve hot straight from the skillet for that rustic charm.
Notes
- For best flavor, serve immediately after cooking.
