- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup fresh pitted cherries, chopped (or frozen)
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 3 minutes).
- Gradually sift in flour, baking soda, and salt while mixing on low speed until just combined; lumps are fine.
- Gently fold in chopped cherries and dark chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Scoop heaping tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets, leaving space between each cookie.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges turn golden brown while keeping soft centers intact.
- Allow to cool slightly before enjoying.
