Description

A delicious and easy air fryer grilled cheese sandwich recipe.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 slices bread
  • 8 slices cheese (or roughly ½ cup shredded cheese per sandwich)
  • 4 Tbsp butter (softened, at room temperature)
  • 1 tsp garlic salt

Instructions

  1. Set air fryer to 370°F (188°C) for 8 minutes.
  2. Use ½ tablespoon portion of the 4 Tbsp butter on each of the 8 slices of bread.
  3. Place 4 slices butter-side down in the air fryer.
  4. Top with 8 slices cheese (trim edges if desired) and the remaining bread slices, butter-side up.
  5. Season with 1 tsp garlic salt if desired.
  6. Top the sandwich with the second buttered slice of bread facing upward. Add more garlic salt, if desired.
  7. Cook (Basket): Air fry for 5 minutes, flip, and cook for 3 more minutes. (Convection): Slide racks in at ‘Add Food’ prompt. Flip sandwiches and rotate rack positions at ‘Turn Food’ prompt.
  8. Remove and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, try adding other seasonings or ingredients such as tomatoes or bacon.
